MarkForge is the Markdown editor for people who live in Markdown. Tabbed editing keeps a whole project open with per-tab undo history and scroll position, and the session comes back when you relaunch. The split view pairs a CodeMirror source pane with a GitHub-flavoured live preview that scrolls in sync. Beyond the basics it has the tools that matter on long documents: a command palette with fuzzy search over every action, find-and-replace with regex and capture groups, a collapsible outline, focus and typewriter modes, table tools that insert and realign grids, and a table of contents that updates itself inside comment markers. KaTeX maths and Mermaid diagrams both render, and both are baked into exports so the output is genuinely self-contained. Export to HTML, PDF via its own headless print engine, or a real Word .docx built offline — and export every open tab at once.
