BookForge builds finished eBooks from metadata plus an ordered list of chapters. The EPUB 3 it produces is properly formed — mimetype stored first and uncompressed, a complete OPF manifest, a reading-order spine with unique IDs, well-formed XHTML content documents, an EPUB 3 nav plus a backward-compatible NCX, embedded CSS and a real cover. Then it does the thing most tools skip: it reopens the EPUB it just wrote, checks it against the specification, and gives you a pass-or-fail report, with a tighter Kindle/KDP profile for books headed to Amazon. That means you find problems on your desk rather than in a rejection email. The same project also exports a print-ready PDF and a single self-contained HTML file, so one manuscript covers every channel.
